Every little girl has a dream about her future. Mine became a reality when I finally got the opportunity to be a beautician.

After completing my BCom Personnel Management studies at Tuks (University of Pretoria), my husband and I moved to the Free State. After years in the corporate world starting my own little beauty salon in a small town was like coming home after a long journey and I traded my boardroom outfits for makeup brushes. I’ve been active in the beauty industry since 2002 by doing nails, waxing, facials and hot stone massaging. Soon clients became dear friends, like family. As the beautician in town, friends came to me to help with special occasion makeup and that is where the journey in the makeup world started. Since 2009 I've been doing makeup mostly for weddings and photo shoots. 

I studied at some of South Africa’s well known training facilities like Face 2 Face and MB Training Boutique. It was through my training at MB Training Boutique with owner Madeleine Botha and working with her that inspired me to excel in make up. Madeleine Botha honored me by trusting me to be the make up trainer for MB Training Boutique on the West Rand. I also did a course with the International Makeup Artist Donna Mee while she was visiting South Africa.

My makeup has been featured in some of South Africa’s top magazines like Get It Pretoria and Get It Johannesburg Magazines as well as Bella, Pols and Wedding Essentials. I also got the chance to be head makeup artist for the TV Reality series, Married at First Sight and have also done makeup on music videos for Candy Benson and Valeska Muller. 

My passion for beauty and helping women shine on the outside is fueled by my desire to empower and uplift. Throughout my career in the beauty industry, I have been consistently rewarded by the confidence and radiance that a woman exudes after her makeover.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of transforming someone, and even to this day, my eyes light up when I have the opportunity to do so.  I want to inspire and encourage you to 'dare to indulge' in your own beauty and self-care. Whether it's through makeup, skincare, or fashion, there are endless ways to enhance and showcase the inner beauty that you already possess.
